WHO WE ARE
Food is the vessel through which we serve others, creating unity in the community. The founders of Farming 4 Hunger planted seeds from their hearts that continue to blossom across generations, populations, and communities. Those seeds flourished because of their hard work, unwavering passion, and philanthropic nature.
WHAT WE DO
Farming 4 Hunger is a non-profit organization that feeds people both physically and mentally through locally grown and distributed food and Life Sharing initiatives, helping to build a better Southern Maryland community.
We do this by:
Addressing the Hunger problem in the Southern Maryland Community
Offering volunteer opportunities to let people experience the process of helping others
Helping community members and volunteers internally struggling to regain hope through experience sharing
Addressing drug abuse and alcohol prevention for children and young adults
Helping ex-cons rehabilitate and contribute to their community
Growing healthy food for the Southern Maryland community
